Self-study

Once you've chosen the qualification that matches your experience, it's then time to look at how you want to study. One of the options is choosing to study independently, which means you'll be in control of your study time, exam booking and buying your study resources.

Is self-study right for me?

Self-driven and can learn independently

Make sure that you have the motivation to learn on your own. You won’t have the opportunity to test your learning or have the knowledge of a tutor or networking group to check your understanding. You'll need to choose, plan and book your exams. We have four opportunities to take your exams, March, May, July, September and November.

Grasp new ideas and concepts quickly

If you’re new to the world of procurement and supply, you’ll need to make sure you can understand complex topics without the support of a tutor. We have lots of study resources available to help you, including eBooks, study guides and eLearning which will enhance your learning and test your knowledge and resource on our Intelligence Hub.

Capable of great attention to detail

Studying on your own requires you to plan your own study time, so it’s important that you cover the entire syllabus. Exams can be stressful and being prepared is the best way to manage any pre-exam nerves. We have lots of tips on our exam success page including revision tips and sample papers.
