Chartered
With Chartered status as part of your professional credentials you are recognised globally for your expertise and credibility; you are trusted and influential.
What does Chartered Status mean for you?
In our complex fast changing global landscape, talented, ethical and committed Chartered procurement and supply professionals help drive and shape organisation and business success, and they’re in high demand.
If you are fully qualified (MCIPS/FCIPS) and a current member of CIPS, you can follow the simple process to upgrade to Chartered. Just confirm that you have undertaken 30 hours of CPD in the previous 12 months and that you have completed the CIPS Ethics Test.

How do I upgrade, or renew my existing Chartered Status?

Complete and submit the Chartered Status Self-Declaration Checklist – make sure you’re logged into your MyCIPS, and then select MyLearning from the navigation on the left. Click on Upgrade to Chartered Status and follow the instructions.
Subject to eligibility we’ll then confirm within 3 days that you have been successfully upgraded.
Current MCIPS and FCIPS members who continue to meet the eligibility criteria for Chartered Professional, may use the designation 'MCIPS Chartered' or 'FCIPS Chartered' after their name.

We need to be self-aware and make time for continuous professional development, ensuring we invest in keeping our skills current and relevant.”
