International Women’s Day 2025
Celebrating the amazing women in procurement and supply #AccelerateAction
#AccelerateAction
In 2025, International Women’s Day (IWD) will be centred around the theme of “Accelerate Action.” This theme is especially poignant in the current global climate, as it calls for urgent action to address the deep-rooted barriers and biases that continue to limit women’s progress. Although much progress has been made over recent decades, geopolitical tensions now pose significant risks to the achievements women and allies have fought so hard for. From restricted access to education and healthcare to increased violence and economic instability, women are disproportionately affected by the challenges of our time.
Despite these challenges, the Accelerate Action theme offers us a powerful opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to gender equality. By embracing this theme, we can take bold, decisive steps to ensure women’s rights and opportunities continue to evolve, even in the face of uncertainty. It’s a call for all of us—individuals, organisations, and governments—to act swiftly and strategically to accelerate progress for women worldwide.
