International Women’s Day 2026
Celebrating the amazing women in procurement and supply #GivetoGain

#GivetoGain
In 2026, International Women’s Day (IWD) encourages all of us to give what we can - whether it’s time, skills, advocacy, mentoring, knowledge, or support - to help advance women and girls across the world. The theme for 2026 is #GiveToGain – and the key messages are:
- when people, organisations, and communities give generously, opportunities and support for women increase.
- when women thrive, we all rise.
- whether through donations, knowledge, resources, infrastructure, visibility, advocacy, education, training, mentoring, or time, contributing to women's advancement helps create a more supportive and interconnected world.
- What will you Give To Gain gender equality?

“International Women’s Day reminds us that when we give our time, talents and advocacy to advance women and girls, we all gain through stronger organisations, resilient communities and a fairer global economy. With over 25 years in senior finance and board roles, I have seen that diverse teams make better decisions and drive sustainable growth when women are fully included and heard. This year’s theme, Give To Gain, calls us to challenge stereotypes, question bias and call out discrimination wherever we see it. As a board director and global trustee, I am committed to using my influence to sponsor emerging female talent, open pathways into leadership and ensure women’s economic empowerment remains central to how we govern, invest and grow. My challenge to our profession is simple: who will you lift as you lead, and how will you share your knowledge so the next generation of women does not have to ask for permission to belong?”

“For me, one of the biggest challenges [I have faced as a woman in business] has been learning to give generously (whether that be my ideas, my time or my support) without expecting anything in return. They say ‘generosity breeds greed’, however what I have learnt is the opposite: when you invest in others, you create a culture where people invest back.”
