CIPS Zimbabwe

Welcome to the Zimbabwe Branch

We represent the procurement and supply profession within our local community. We support our members by organising events, and giving them opportunities to network and share best practice with other like-minded professionals.

Partnering with a local University

A follow-up from the previous committee’s cooperation and partnership initiatives was done with a visit by both Zimbabwe committee and CIPS Africa representatives to Chinhoyi University of Science and Technology to cement partnership and cooperation arrangements. This is on-going

Catching them when they are young

In partnership with Speciss College, the committee made presentations to high school students in Bulawayo and Harare. They have also partnered with Harley Reed Zimbabwe for the Harare Agricultural and Business Exhibition

CIPS Zimbabwe professionals spiced work with play

A social gathering specifically for networking. This social gathering raises the need to help local students.

  • Each member to contribute towards the purchase of books. This still takes place.
  • Assist students with places of attachments.
  • Pledge to assist students with CIPS educational queries free of charge.

Accreditation of the CIPS Syllabus in Zimbabwe

The previous committee alluded to the point that they had communicated with Standards Development Research Unit (SDERU) the accreditation body for Tertiary qualifications in Zimbabwe

CIPS Zimbabwe Annual Dinner

This an annual event usually in October Summer School The committee had planned for this event to be an annual event.
