CIPS Signs Memorandum of Understanding with Sardar Beant Singh State University, Punjab

CIPS has formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Sardar Beant Singh State University (SBSSU), Gurdaspur, Punjab marking a significant step in strengthening procurement and supply chain education within India’s higher education ecosystem.

The partnership aims to embed global procurement and supply chain standards into academic programmes, supporting the development of future-ready professionals in a region with strong potential for industrial growth and skills advancement.

The MoU signing ceremony took place during SBSSU’s Foundation Day celebrations and was attended by distinguished dignitaries, senior academic leaders, and faculty members.

Through this collaboration, CIPS and SBSSU will collaborate to:

  • Align academic curricula with globally recognised procurement and supply chain standards
  • Explore CIPS accreditation pathways for programmes including BBA and MBA
  • Establish a potential CIPS Study Centre at SBSSU
  • Strengthen capability through training, research, and industry engagement

Following the formal signing, productive discussions were held with Dr S. K. Mishra, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, and Dr Arvind Kumar Sharma, Dean – CCR, focusing on a structured and impactful roadmap to advance the partnership.
