CIPS and ITN business partner to launch news-style programme Resilient Supply Chains
20 September 2023
ITN Business, in partnership with The Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS), is proud to announce the production of a groundbreaking news-style programme and digital campaign, "Resilient Supply Chains." Hosted by the presenter, Sharon Thomas, the series illuminates the indispensable role of procurement and supply chain management in today's dynamic business landscape.
As part of the series of programmes, viewers can look forward to an exclusive studio interview with Alison Barto, Chair of CIPS. Alison Barto discusses how the profession has successfully navigated change in recent years and how it is contributing to the development of ethical and sustainable supply chains, putting people and planet at the centre of procurement practice. She emphasises the importance of managing sustainability targets through the supply chain stating that, "most organisations have set net zero targets, whether that's to 2030 or to 2050. But the only way you can drive that down is managing through your supply chain."
Following years of disruption to international supply chains the role of procurement and supply chain professionals has never been more important. CIPS, in collaboration with organisations worldwide, provides educating and training programmes equipping procurement and supply professionals with the latest knowledge and skills to foster resilient supplier relationships and laying the groundwork for an ethical and sustainable future.
Nina Harrison-Bell, Head of ITN Business said: “Disruption to supply chains is here to stay and we hope our programme will showcase how companies are able to mitigate risks and identify areas of vulnerability to get on top of the challenges that lie ahead.”
The programme will also feature reporter-led sponsored editorial profiles from the following organisations:
- DHL Supply Chain: The key to a successful future lies in its people. By investing in new and supportive technologies, upskilling and sustainability education, DHL is ensuring the strength and wellbeing of their workforce now, and into the future.
- Manhattan Associates: In this studio interview Craig Summers, Managing Director, discusses how Manhattan Associates supports businesses by providing warehouse, order, and transportation management systems to optimise performance in an ever-evolving landscape.

This film showcases how RightSpend's tech solutions and consulting services aid companies in reviewing marketing spend and insights to ensure that marketing investments are allocated wisely, assisting procurement managers in their roles.
